The University of Hartford has announced the details for its annual Pink Game and National Girls and Women in Sports Day, set for Saturday, Feb. 17, in conjuction with the women's basketball game against Vermont at 2 p.m.
The day begins with an all-sport clinic run by members of five University of Hartford women's teams in celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The clinic is open to all kids 12-and-under, and advanced registration for is strongly encouraged. Click

Check-in will begin at 11:15 a.m., and the clinic will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Admission to the clinic is complimentary.

Beginning at 1 p.m., fans will have the opportunity to receive a number of exciting giveaway items. Pink t-shirts will be given out to the first 1,000 fans to enter Chase Arena at Reich Family Pavilion and pink rally towels will be given out, while supplies last, courtesy of
Farmington Bank. Additionally, Farmington Bank will have a table where fans can spin a prize wheel to win various items.
Edible Arrangements will pass out pineapple pops to the first 500 fans in attendance, and one lucky fan will win a full arrangement during the game.
Fans will also receive information about how to support breast cancer research, and information about breast cancer detection from the
American Cancer Society.
During halftime, the crowd will be treated to a performance by
The Luneaus Basketball Family. The Basketball Family has performed for NBA teams and NCAA teams across the country. Ilze Luneau is the only female basketball entertainer in the world who dribbles five basketballs at the same time as part of her show.
