  • A four-time All-New England performer and Division I, District I "Top-12 Honoree".
  • Tabbed First Team All-New England honors in 1985-86 and 1988-89.
  • Earned NCAA All-Region distinction in 1986-87.
  • Complied a career stroke average of 75.9, including a season best of 74.7 in 1987-88.
  • Tallied 27 top-10 finished in his career, including four first-place, seven second-place, six third-place and one fifth place finish.
  • Earned medalist honors at the CBT "Big Four" Tournament in 1988-89, the ECAC Fall Championship in 1987-88, the ECAC Qualifying Tournament in 1986-87 and the Sam Kane Invitational in 1985-86.
  • Paced the Hawks to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances in his career.
  • Graduated with a business degree from the Barney School of Business and Public Administration.
  • Had been a leading money winner on the PGA Tour.
  • Posted his first professional individual title at the Sony Invitational in 2002, becoming the first former Hartford student-athlete (or team) to win a major professional championship.
  • Received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from the University of Hartford in June of 2009.
