WGolf Tied for 9th at ECAC Championship

 

WILLIAMSBURG, VA - The University of Hartford women's golf team is tied for ninth after the first round of play at the ECAC Championship at Kiskiack Golf Course.

Hartford shot a team round of 331. Junior Sadie Heald led the way with a round of 80 (+8) and is tied for 20th overall. Classmate Kara Sikorski and freshman Emily Linn are one shot back at 81 and tied for 27th. Junior Paige Gauthier rounded out the scoring with an 89 and is tied for 61st. Senior Megan Claxton withdrew from the first round due to illness.

St. John's and Princeton lead the field of 17 after posting rounds of 309. St. John's Michelle Romano was the only player in the field to shoot even par and will take the overnight lead into the final round.

The ECAC Championship will conclude on Sunday with a final round of 18 holes at Kiskiack Golf Course.
