CENTERVILLE, Mass. ? Anthony Oluwanifise, a member of the men's indoor track and field team at the University of Hartford, was recognized as the Eastern College Athletic Conference's Division I Male Field Performer of the Week as announced on Wednesday.

Oluwanifise, a senior from Queens Village, N.Y., won both the long jump and the triple jump at Hartford's season-opener against Vermont, posting scores of 6.65 meters and 13.15 meters, respectively.  Additionally, he earned a fourth place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.73 meters in the event.  The Catamounts edged past the Hawks on Saturday afternoon with a final score of 79-68.

Both the men's and women's indoor track and field teams will return to action on Saturday, December 13 when they compete at the Harvard Invitational in Boston.
