Cambridge, MASS. ? For the second-straight week, a University of Hartford indoor track and field team member has earned America East honors for their accomplishments in the past week.  Junior Ariana Bass was recognized as the female America East Track Performer of the Week for the week ending December 14, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Bass highlighted the Harvard Invitational for the Hartford women with a first place finish in the 500-meter run on Saturday, posting a New England Championship qualifying time of 1:18.88.  Additionally, Bass went on to run the fastest split of the day on the 4x400-meter team, which finished second overall.

Both the men's and women's track and field teams will return to action after the holidays when they compete at the Reebok Indoor Games in Boston at the Reggie Lewis Center on January 30.
