WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - On Monday, the Conference of New England (CNE) announced its weekly report with freshman
Kyra Benard (Agawam, Mass.) being named the Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.
Benard joins freshman
Ava Lipson (Colchester, Vt.) as the second Hawk to be named the CNE Field Hockey Rookie of the Week so far in 2025. Kyra had a stellar week scoring two goals including the game-winner in a 5-1 victory over Albertus Magnus College on September 9th.
Benard and the Hawks have a single game this week taking on Endicott College on September 20th for the first road game in program history.

Originally founded in 1984 as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) and reconstituted as the Conference of New England (CNE) in 2024, the CNE is an NCAA Division III Athletic Conference composed of 11 full member and five associate member institutions throughout the New England region.
