COMPLETE RESULTS
Bealsville, MD – The University of Hartford women's golf team stands remained in 14th place, out of 17 teams, following the final round of action at the Hoya Women's Invitational at the Four Streams Golf Club in Bealsville, MD.
Freshman Sarah Sideranko bounced back from a first round 85 to finished with a 79, seven over par, on the second day, to close out the Hawks first tournament action of the Spring with a 164, tied for 34th place overall. Sideranko's 79 was the lowest round of the tournament for Hartford.
Sophomore Emily Linn, who led the Hawks after the first round, finished nine strokes behind Sideranko on the second day (88), to close out the tournament with a 172, tied for 60th place. Finishing one stroke behind Linn, for the day, was Paige Gauthier who put up an 89 on the second day, combined with her first round 93 to finished fourth for the Hawks in 81st place.
Finishing third overall for Hartford was Kara Sikorski. She finished with a 90 in the second round to finish tied for 72nd overall with a 176. Sikorski had the highlight of the tournament when she hit her first hole in one in tournament play this season. Sikorski's ace came on her first hole of the day, the par 3, 153 yard 15th hole at Four Streams. The ace was the second for Sikorski this year as she hit a hole in one in a practice round earlier this year at Tumble Brook Country Club.
Rounding out the Hawks five was Kirsten LaPointe who finished with a 185 two-round total, which placed her 83rd overall.
The women's golf team will return to action when they host the Hartford Invitational at Rockledge Golf Course in West Hartford on April 11-13.
