Durham, NH - The University of Hartford volleyball team dropped the second of a two-match road trip, 3-0 at New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks were led by Erin Macro who finished with a match-best 12 kills, the only Hartford player in double figures. The Hawks are now 7-15 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
Macro finished the match hitting .381 from the field with four errors in 21 total attacks. Finishing behind her in the kills column was Katie O'Hara and Megan Schauffele with nine and eight kills respectively. O'Hara had the hottest hand of the afternoon, hitting .571 with just one error in 14 total attacks. Schauffele finished the match with a .294 hitting percentage with three errors in 17 attacks.
As a team, the Hawks hit .208 with 42 total kills, 21 errors and 101 attacks. New Hampshire (14-7, 3-3 AE) was led by Emmy Blouin, who also finished with a match-best 12 kills. Lindsay Ford served as the Hawks primary setter with 32 total assists for the match, four other players all had one assist each. Defensively the Hawks were led by Schauffele, Sarah Boss and Hallie Fullagar who all finished with five digs. All but two players in the Hawks lineup finished with at least one dig.
Hartford will next play at Central Connecticut on Wednesday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Detrick Gymnasium in New Britain, CT.
