Sports Medicine
The Certified Athletic Trainer is a highly educated and skilled professional specializing in athletic health care. In Cooperation with physicians and other allied health personnel, the certified athletic trainer functions as an integral member of the athletic health care team. Certified athletic trainers have fulfilled the requirements for certification established by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification, Inc. (NATABOC)
The University of Hartford Sports Medicine Department delivers athletic training and sports medicine services to the NCAA student-athletes at the University of Hartford. The services provided include prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation to athletic injuries and health and wellness education.
The University of Hartford Sports Medicine Department is partnered with Hartford Healthcare to provide athletic training, strength and conditioning, and team physician services.
