Hawks Men's Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision to Boston University

, CT - The University of Hartford men's tennis team dropped its second match in a row, 7-0 to the Boston University Terriers on Wednesday afternoon. The Hawks are now 0-2 in dual match play.

 

The Terriers picked up their first point of the day after winning second and third doubles. Jeff Chudacoff and Giulio Galloratti was the first doubles team see victory with an 8-0 score against Ed Hoey and Aaron Kooden. Tim Glickman and Fil Miletic picked up a game but came up short, 8-1, against Miran Nissam and Daniel Frid. Emmet Drake and Will White dropped an 8-2 decision against Charles Weinstein and Tim Sichler.

 

Weinstein was successful in picking up the first singles point for Boston University defeating Kooden in the fifth singles flight 6-0, 6-1. Sichler and Chudacoff picked up the second and third singles points for the Terriers in third and sixth singles respectively. Sichler defeated Miletic in the sixth position by scores of 6-2, 6-0, while Chudacoff topped Glickman by a pair of 6-0 sets.

 

Ed Hoey fell in the fourth singles match by scores of 6-0, 6-1 to Galloratti. The Hawks best showing on the afternoon came in the first singles position where Drake fell to Nissam by scores of 6-2, 6-0. The final singles match of the day featured White versus Armir Mehmetti, with the latter posting a pair of 6-1 victories.

 

The men's tennis team will next play in a double header with the women's team at Siena on Sunday, October 7 in Loudonville, NY.
