Volleyball Falls to Binghamton in Season Finale



 

Vestal, NY - The University of Hartford volleyball team closed out the 2007 season at Binghamton on Sunday losing a three-game match by scores of 30-15, 30-13, 30-19. The Hawks end 2007 with an 8-23 overall record and 1-11 in conference action.

 

Hartford was led in its final match by freshman Megan Schauffele who was the only player to finish in double digits with 10 kills. She was followed by sophomore Erin Macro who had seven and senior Jennifer Monroy who finished with six. The Hawks suffered in hitting against Binghamton with a -.017 hitting percentage. They finished with 28 kills, 30 errors in 116 total attempts.

 

Sarah Rasor led the Hawks offense, finishing with 17 assists in her final game. Defensively, the Hawks were led by Sarah Boss who finished with 15 digs, while Schauffele added eight and Monroy added seven.
