West Hartford, CT - The University of Hartford volleyball team dropped a three-game decision to the University of New Hampshire on Friday night. The Hawks were led by Katie O'Hara, who was the only Hartford player to record double digit digs with 10. Hartford is now 7-21 overall and 0-9 in conference play, while the Wildcats improve to 18-7 overall and 7-3 in AE action.
O'Hara also faired well in hitting percentage with a .286 average. She finished with four errors in 21 total attempts. Also hitting well for Hartford was Jennifer Monroy and Erin Macro who finished with nine and seven kills respectively. Hallie Fullagar led all Hartford hitters with a .400 attack percentage. She finished with four kills, no errors in 10 total attempts.
Lindsay Ford finished the match with a team best 20 kills after replacing starting setter Sarah Rasor who was sidelined with an injury. Rasor finished with 13 assists. Ford also finished second on the team with seven digs. Leading the team defensively was Sarah Boss who finished with eight digs.
The Wildcats were led by Lindsay Fogarty and Toni Barnas, who each finished with 13 kills. Fogarty led all hitters on the night with a .476 attack percentage (three errors in 21 total attempts).
The Hawks will close out the home portion of their season when they host Maine on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Hartford will honor their four seniors prior to the game, Monroy, Rasor, Lauren Flores and Ljiljana Zecevic.
