West Hartford, CT - University of Hartford men's soccer player Daniel Antunez was selected by the Colorado Rapids in Thursday's Major League Soccer Supplemental Draft, further complimenting the players selected in the full draft earlier this month. Antunez was one of four picks for Colorado in the supplemental draft.

All supplemental draft selections are expected to report to Colorado this Saturday for preseason training. The Rapids open their season on March 29 when they take on the Los Angeles Galaxy at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in a 7:30 p.m. (MT) kickoff. Antunez was a two-year member of the men's soccer team after transferring from Lon Morris College in Texas. He finished his two year Division I career with four goals and seven assists. This season he posted three goals and five assists for 11 points, which was second best on the team. Two of his goals were game winners, including the lone goal in a 1-0 shut out of Rhode Island.
