Matt Walker and Simon Kudernatsch rounded out the leaders, each finishing with two RBI. Kudernatsch led all Hartford hitters with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate. Walker and Adam Bowser also finished with multiple hits, each adding two.
Hartford had to battle from behind the whole game allowing the Crusaders to put a run on the board in the first inning and then add six more in the second inning. Hartford scored its first run in the top half of the second inning and used a five run fourth to pull the game within reach, 8-6. Holy Cross added two more in the fifth inning, while the Hawks managed to tie the game in the top of the ninth inning on a lead off home run to right center field from Walker.
The Hawks pitching couldn't stop Holy Cross in the bottom half of the inning. The first three batters reached, two on hits and one walk. The Hawks managed a force out at home on the fourth batter but the Hawks would walk in the winning run

He wouldn't earn an out in the second inning, quickly replaced by Bob Rogers after allowing the first three batters to reach.
Rogers would pitch just one inning before Zack Tarner took over to start the third inning. Tarner would throw the longest of all Hartford pitchers, two complete innings. He allowed one run on one hits while striking out two batters.
Also seeing time on the mound for Hartford was Steve Dabroski, Marc Toomey, Pete Moraski and Justin DiConzo who was credited with his first collegiate loss. The Crusaders threw four arms with Mike Thater earning the victory.
