West Point, NY ? The University of Hartford volleyball team dropped its final match at the West Point Classic 3-0 to Dartmouth College (22-25, 15-25, 16-25). Hartford drops to 3-10 on the season and will return home for its second match of the season, hosting in-state rival Sacred Heart Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.
Hartford was led by junior Erin Macro's eight kills. Maddison Molyneux , also a junior, was second with seven kills, followed by freshman Lindsay Makowicki with four. The Hawks combined for a .109 attack percentage as a team (31 kills, 20 errors, 101 total attacks), while allowing Dartmouth to hit .298 (39 K, 11 E, 94 TA). Macro led the team in hitting with only one error in 18 total attacks for a .389 attack percentage.
Sophomore Lindsay Ford led the team in assists. She finished the match with 18 assists. Hartford was led on the defensive end by junior Sarah Boss' 13 digs. Following Boss in the digs column was freshman Danielle Etta and Macro, each with five digs.
