HANOVER, N.H. – Senior forward Cherelle Moore led the Hawks for the fourth straight game closing out her second double double of the season with 12 points and 11 rebounds as the University of Hartford women's basketball team dropped a 49-43 decision at Dartmouth on Thursday afternoon. Joining Moore in leading the Hawks (3-5 overall) was classmate Amber Bepko who finished with 11 points, all of which came in the second half.
For the game, Hartford shot 25.5 percent overall on 14-of-55, including making 4-of-23 attempts from beyond the arc. Individually, Moore and Bepko each finished with four made field goals with Moore leading the pair shooting 36.3 percent (4-of-11). Three of Bepko's baskets came from beyond the three point arc. Moore also finished 4-of-4 at the free throw line.
Sophomore point guard Deanna Mayza finished with eight points, while leading the team with four assists. Six of Mayza's eight points came from the free throw line where she finished 6-of-8.
Moore's 11 rebounds led all Hawks in the game, while as a team Hartford finished with 35 total boards compared to 44 for the Big Green. All but one of the nine Hawks who saw action against Dartmouth finished with at least two rebounds. Following Moore in leading the way was Bepko and Shanise Bultron who each finished with five

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
· Senior Cherelle Moore collected her second double double of the season and the fifth of her career as she led the Hawks with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Moore finished the game shooting 4-of-11 overall while also going a perfect 4-of-4 at the free throw line.
· Guard Amber Bepko, also a senior, joined Moore in leading the scoring, adding 11 points all of which came in the second half.
· Sophomore point guard Deanna Mayza also finished among the leading scorers with eight points to go along with a game-high four assists. Six of her eight points came at the free throw line where she finished 6-of-8.
· All but one of the nine players who saw time against Dartmouth finished with at least two rebounds with Moore's 11 leading the team. Joining her in leading the way were classmates Bepko and Shanise Bultron who each pulled down five.
FIRST HALF HIGHLIGHTS
· Freshman Janelle Harrison scored five of the Hawks first seven points as she connected on a pair of layups in the first five-plus minutes.
· Hartford's final 10 points of the first half all came at the free throw line, including a stretch of four-straight that pulled the Hawks within six with 2:20 left before the break. Cherelle Moore and Deanna Mayza each provided two of those four free throws.
· Mayza led the Hawks in the opening half with eight points, including six at the free throw line. Her lone made basket of the half came with 10 minutes remaining as she had a fast break opportunity after a defensive takeaway, converting on a layup on the other end.
SECOND HALF HIGHLIGHTS
· Hartford came out of the intermission and scored the first two baskets of the second half. The first of those baskets was a layup from Cherelle Moore off a pass from Christie Michals. Amber Bepko provided the second of those buckets when she connected on her first three pointer of the game with 15:09 remaining. That 5-0 run pulled the Hawks within eight, 32-19.
· Trailing 43-32 at the under eight minute timeout, the Hawks began a stretch of 11 unanswered points that erased the deficit completely and tied the game at 43. Four different players scored in the rally with Moore providing a pair of the baskets for four of the 11 points.
· Bepko scored all 11 of her points in the game in the second half, leading the team over the final 20 minutes. Nine of her 11 points came from beyond the three point, including two that came less than a minute apart which cut the Hawks deficit to nine with 8:21 remaining.
