WOMEN'S SILVER ELITE 10K RESULTS WALNUT, Calif.—Megan Barry of the University of Hartford women's track and field team set a school record Thursday night running the 10,000 meters at the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays. The senior finished 20th in her section in an Olympic Development race at the meet.
Running in the Silver Elite section, Barry cruised through the 10,000 meters with a time of 35:32.98. Her time shattered her previous school record and personal best by nearly one minute.
Heading into Thursday's race, Barry's previous best was 36:27.84, which she set earlier this spring at the Central Connecticut State Invite March 22. Last season, Barry finished second in the event at the America East Conference Championship to garner All-America East honors.
