MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS

BURLINGTON, Vt.—The University of Hartford track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 2014 America East Outdoor Championship Sunday with another All-Conference performance and a pair of school records. On the campus of the University of Vermont, the Hartford women finished the weekend with 24 total points and the men took 10 points as both teams finished ninth in the team standings.

Albany swept the championships, winning both the men's and women's titles.

For the Hawks, senior Megan Barry again highlighted the performances on the track, finishing second in the 5,000 meters in 17:06.69. The second-place result earned the senior her second All-Conference finish of the meet after she was the runner-up in the 10,000 meters on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Sam Crisafulli and freshman Savannah Brown also turned in memorable performances for the Hartford women, breaking school records in the 800 meters and triple jump, respectively.

Crisafulli re-broke the women's 800-meter school record she set yesterday, posting a time of 2:15.02. That time was .28 seconds faster than her record-setting preliminary heat, putting the Hawks on the board with a seventh-place overall finish in the event.

Brown set the Hartford program record in the women's triple jump as she got out to a mark of 11.22 meters, breaking the previous best of 10.87 meters, set by Kristalena Lamore in 2009. She finished ninth in the event Sunday.

Fellow rookie Lauren Bossi amassed 3,737 total points in the heptathlon to take eighth place overall. She solidified her position in the 800-meter run on the championship's final day, finishing fifth among heptathletes in the run with a time of 2:29.21.

On the men's side, it was triple jumpers Rashawn Providence and Jordan Crump-King taking the lead for Hartford, finishing sixth and seventh, respectively, in the event. Providence soared to a career-best mark of 14.22 meters, breaking the 14-meter mark for the first time as a collegian. Crump-King finished just behind him with a 14.02-meter leap.

The Hawks are back on the track next Friday and Saturday when they head to Westfield, Mass., for the 2014 New England Outdoor Championships.
