HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bryant came out of the gates swinging, scoring the game's first 12 points in the opening three minutes of the game, and ultimately jumping out to a 16-2 lead midway through the first quarter.
- The Hawks chipped away at the Bulldog lead in the second period, going on a 19-4 run to take a one-point lead with three minutes remaining in the first half. Bryant scored a pair of quick baskets to end the half, which resulted in the Bulldogs taking a 24-21 lead into the locker room.
- Hartford came out in the second half with the hot hand, going 11-of-16 from the field and 3-of-4 from long range. That hot shooting was key to a 27-11 Hawks' run in the third quarter that gave the visiting team command of the game.
- The Hawks and Bulldogs were evenly matched in the final stanza, with Bryant holding a 12-11 advantage in the quarter. But thanks to Hartford's big third quarter, the Hawks were able to hold on and take the 59-47 decision.
