HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
  • The Knights got on the board first, as Jaymee Jackson ripped an RBI single to center field putting FDU up 1-0.
  • The Hawks responded in the third as freshman Nicollette Barranger led off the frame with a triple to right field. Fellow freshman Danielle Rocheleau quickly drove Barranger, ripping a single to the shortstop.
  •  Just like the third, the Hawks opened the fourth with an extra-base hit as freshman Jennifer Johnson laced a double to left field, later being driven in when Freshman Lily Sencer grounded out to second.
  • FDU threatened in the seventh, putting runners on first and second with no outs, but Senior Bianca Ross pitched out of the jam, giving the Hawks the 2-1 decision.

Game 2
  • The Knights opened strong, scoring three runs in the first, including a two-run homer to take an early 3-0 lead.
  • The Hawks took the lead in the third innings and senior Brittany Wallace rippled an RBI double to center, driving in sophomore Jillian Fenton before sophomore Madison Hilimire basted a two-run home run to put the Hawks up 4-3.
  • FDU scored 10 unanswered runs during the third and fourth inning to put them ahead, 13-4.
  • Wallace laced another RBI double in the fifth, driving in Johnson, but it was not enough as the Knight took the 13-5 decision.
