Cross Country Competes at the CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – Hartford cross country wrapped up its 2019 regular season slate with the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday. The meet served as the final tune up before the America East Championships.  The women's team placed 12th overall in the 3k.


 
HARTFORD HIGHLIGHTS
  • Junior Nicholas O'Brien was the lone Hartford participant in the men's 5k, finishing in 46th place with a time of 15:45.8
  • Sophomore Haleemot Adeyanju led the Hawks in the women's 3k finishing in 60th with a time of 11:01.6
  • Freshman Hailey Marcello trailed right behind, as she crossed the line in 11:09.9 to finish in 69th
  • Freshman Hannah D'Orso rounded out the top three finishers for the Hawks as she finished the 3k in 11:10.7 for 70th place
  • America East rival New Hampshire won the women's 3k event while Providence won the men's 5k event

 
NEXT ON TAP
The Hawks begin their postseason schedule with a return to UAlbany for the America East Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2.
