AMHERST, N.Y. - Hartford cross country continues its 2019 postseason as it travels to Amherst, N.Y. to take part in the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. The race will be held at the University at Buffalo's North Campus. The women's 6k race is slated to go off at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men's 10k at 12 p.m.

HARTFORD QUICK HITS

• The Hawks are coming off a strong showing at the America East Championships that saw numerous runners set new personal bests
• Junior Nicholas O'Brien lead the Hawks in the 8k as he set a new personal best time of 25:55.3 for 59th place
• In addition to O'Brien, the men's team will send senior Sean Garrison, junior Wesley Moody and freshman Matthew Konopinksi to compete in the men's 10k event
• Freshman Hailey Marcello led the Hawks in the women's 5k finishing in 48th with a season-best time of 18:58.65
• Marcello will be joined by fellow freshman Gabrielle Zeller and Madelyn Hunsberger in the women's 6k race
