FAIRFIELD, Conn. –Hartford softball fell to Fairfield, 4-0, in non-conference action Sunday afternoon.
Sophomores
Danielle Rocheleau went 2-3 with a double, as the Hawks fell to 18-26 overall. Mikayla Rubin and Lacey Olaff each had two RBI, as the Stags improve to 25-19 on the season.

Hartford had its best opportunity of the game in the top of the first, as Rocheleau hit a double to center field. Freshman
Brooklyn Aboulhosn then came on to pinch run for Rocheleau and moved to third after freshman
Paige Fedak grounded out to second. The Hawks could not however capitalize, as Fairfield escaped the inning unscathed
The Stags scored their first runs of the game in the third inning, starting with a two-run triple from Rubin. Olaff then followed up Rubin's triple with a groundout to the pitcher, but not before Rubin came around to score to make the score 3-0.
Fairfield tacked on one more run in the fifth inning while holding Hartford to one hit over the final four innings to take the Sunday afternoon showdown, 4-0.
