School Records Fall at Minutemen Invitational

AMHERST, Mass. – Hartford outdoor track and field continued its record-breaking streak this weekend at the Minutemen Invitational, where two school records were broken and over 20 personal best marks were made.

HARTFORD MEN HIGHLIGHTS 
  • The men were paced by junior Terrel Davis, who broke his own school record in the triple jump (15.19m) on his way to the title in the event
  • Davis also took third in the high jump with a mark of 1.87m
  • Rookie Dalton Burnham also broke his own school record after pole vaulting 3.95m
  • Junior Connor Kenny earned runner-up honors in the high jump with a mark of 1.87m
  • Freshman Keon Cooper placed third in the javelin among a competitive field of 15 (54.78m)
  • The men's 4x100m relay team of Naazir Alexander, Marckens Auguste, Kaylan Depas and Nelson Wyatt Jr. earned third among a competitive field of eight with a time of 42.25

HARTFORD WOMEN HIGHLIGHTS
 
  • Freshman Haleemot Adeyanju paced the women with a third-place finish in the 800m
  • Adeyanju's impressive time of 2:14.85 is only 0.94 seconds off of the school record, which was set in 2014
  • Junior Sarah LeClair had a big day, earning fourth place among a competitive field of 14 in the javelin after throwing 33.73m
  • Sophomore Elizabeth Lodge earned top-five honors in the high jump with a mark of 1.61m
  • Junior Olivia Rougeau placed seventh in the high jump after jumping 1.61m
  • Rookie Nia Mills ran to an eighth-place finish in the 100m with a time of 12.79

The Hawks will return to action next Friday (April 12) when they compete in the Dartmouth Quad Meet in Hanover, N.H.
