GAME ONE: UMBC 3  HARTFORD 0

After UMBC scored a run in each of the first three innings to take a 3-0 lead, Hartford threatened in the top of the fourth. After sophomores Danielle Rocheleau and Kiana Harris walked to put runners on first and second, senior Kylie Dazalla stepped in as the tying run. Dazalla battled through an eight pitch at bat to force a full count, but could not capitalize as UMBC managed to get the final out and sneak out of the inning.

The Hawks mounted its final rally in the top of the seventh, as Dazalla worked a walk with two outs. Retrievers' freshman Courtney Coppersmith, however, closed things out, completing her fourth no-hitter of the season with her 11th strikeout of the game, taking game one of the tournament, 3-0.

GAME TWO: BINGHAMTON 5 HARTFORD 3
After Binghamton took a 1-0 led in the top of the first, Hartford immediately answered in the bottom of the frame. With one out and sophomore Nicolette Barranger on second base, Rocheleau knocked a double to left center field, scoring Barranger and tying the score at one.

In the next inning Hartford took its first lead of the game thanks to the long ball. Kocenski stepped into the batter's box and proceeded to send the 1-1 pitch over the center field wall for the Hawks only home run of the day, making the score 2-1.

The Bearcats responded in the top of the fifth with two runs in top of the fifth, scoring three runs on four hits for the 4-2 lead.

Hartford wasted little time answering the Binghamton run, as junior Amber Mianti led off the bottom of the inning with a triple to center field. Later in the inning, sophomore Lily Sencer stepped in and hit a sacrifice fly to right field, plating Mianti and moving the Hawks back within one run (4-3).

Binghamton, however, closed out game two, tacking on one more run for the 5-3 victory.
