WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Thirty-eight recruited student-athletes have committed to the University of Hartford cross country and track and field programs, third-year head coach Stacie Wentz announced on Wednesday. The incoming class, which will join the Hawks for the 2019-20 season, will bolster the team's strengths across all of the event groups.
 
"I am excited about both the amount of athletes and the level of talent we are bringing in this year," said Wentz. "After a very exciting year for the team, the incoming class will help as we continue to move up in the conference and regional rankings. Our goal is to continue to push athletes to the NCAA level, and there is plenty of potential in this group."

"We had a large distance class graduate so we worked hard to increase our roster numbers in that event area," continued Wentz. "This will help us move up in the conference results for cross country and score valuable points on the track and put numerous more relays together."
