Davis Earns Fourth AE Field Performer of the Week Honor

BOSTON — Senior Terrel Davis of the Hartford indoor track and field team was named the America East Field Performer of the Week for the fourth time this season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Davis continued his record-breaking season as he demolished his former school record in the long jump this past weekend. The Beacon, N.Y., native took home first-place honors after reaching a mark of 7.78m (25' 6.25") to break the program record he set earlier this season. Davis' mark ranks first in the conference and No. 15 in the entire NCAA.

Davis has dominated the jumping events for the Hawks in recent years as he currently owns the school records for the long jump and triple jump in both indoor and outdoor track and field.

This is the fourth time this season that Davis has earned a conference accolade, which is the most of any track and field athlete in the conference this season. Sophomore Haleemot Adeyanju joins Davis as the other Hawk to earn a conference award this season after being named Track Performer of the Week on Dec. 17.

Davis and the Hawks wrap up the 2019-20 indoor campaign when they head back to the BU Track & Tennis Center for the America East Championships. The two-day event is set to begin on Friday, Feb. 21.
