Track and Field Breaks Two School Records at the UNH Pre-Conference Meet

DURHAM, N.H.  – Freshman Robyn Krafft and sophomore Uchenna Duru set new school records in the discus to lead the Hartford men's and women's track and field teams at the UNH Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday. Both the men's and women's team finished ahead of conference-rival Vermont.

HARTFORD MEN HIGHLIGHTS 
·       The men's team finished with three top-three performances, including one gold medal honor
·       Duru earned third place honors in the discus, reaching a mark of 45.68m to set a new school record
·       Sophomore Anthony Clavette won the high jump for the fourth consecutive meet, clearing a height of 1.95m
·       Junior Russell Johnson wrapped up the men's top-three performers, earning the bronze medal in the 400m hurdles with a time of 57.60

HARTFORD WOMEN HIGHLIGHTS
·       The women's team finished with eight top-three honorees, including one gold medal performance
·       Krafft led the women, launching the discus 41.53m to set a new school record and finish in second place
·       Graduate student Olivia Rougeau earned the gold medal in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.69m on her initial attempt
·       Freshman Sydney Garrison finished in third place in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.69m on her third and final try
·       Senior Elizabeth Lodge continued her strong 2021 season, crossing the line in a time of 14.73 to earn the silver medal in the 100m hurdles
·       Senior Abby Myers and freshman Emily Parchinkski finished in second and third in the 400m with times of 59.51 and 59.78 respectively
·       Junior Nia Mills took home third place honors in the 100m with a time of 12.56 while classmate Briana Harris wrapped up the Hawks top-three honorees with a second-place finish in the 200m (25.47)
 
NEXT ON TAP
The Hawks head to UMass Lowell for the America East Championships. The two-day event is set to begin on Saturday, May 1.
