BOSTON – The Hartford men's and women's indoor track and field team had another strong performance over the weekend at the John Thomas Terrier Classic. The Hawks closed out the weekend on Sunday after recording several personal bests and multiple updated conference rankings across the field.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The men were led again by juniors Anthony Clavette and Christian Deal, as well as freshmen standouts Jovan Joseph, Riley Brutvan and Kaden Leonard
- Clearing a height of 1.90m in the high jump, Clavette was the top finisher for the men on the day, placing sixth overall
- Deal recorded a personal-best in the mile, running a time of 4:18.01 to place him third in his heat and 68th overall in a field of 142
- Joseph ran the 500m in a time of 1:06.22 to record a new personal best and move up to eighth in the rankings for the America East
- Coming across the line as the winner of the fifth heat over 5000m was Brutvan
- He covered the track in a personal-best time of 15:17.28
- Leonard crossed the line of the 200m dash with a new personal-best time of 22.86 to place amongst the top 50 percent overall in the event
HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Leading the women were seniors Haleemot Adeyanju and Brianna Harris, along with junior Hannah D'Orso and freshman Marlina Voker
- Adeyanju moved into the top-10 among America East performers in the 800m, running a time of 2:15.49 and placing 18th in a field of 74
- Taking second in her heat, Harris crossed the line in the 400m in a season-best time of 59.76
- Running a personal-best time over the one-mile distance was D'Orso (5:11.41)
- Finishing runner-up in the ninth heat of the 200m dash was Voker, who recorded a personal-best time of 26.15 to finish 45th in a field of 136 other runners
- Adeyanju, D'Orso, Harris and sophomore Abby O'Connor made up the distance medley relay team for the Hawks
- After this weekend, the women's relay team now owns the top spot in the America East with a time of 12:11.57
