Tatum Forbes finished with a team-high nine points and eight rebounds as the Hartford women's basketball team dropped a 62-35 decision to Stonehill on Monday. The Hawks dipped to 0-4 on the season while the Skyhawks improved to 1-4.

Stonehill jumped out to an early 10-2 lead to force a quick Hartford timeout. The Skyhawks kept their momentum going out of the stoppage in play, extending their advantage over the Hawks to 18-6. At the 3:42 mark of the first, senior
Irene Primo drilled a three-point field goal from the elbow to close the gap to single digits. Stonehill would end the opening quarter leading Hartford 20-13. After a low-scoring second quarter, the Skyhawks led the Hawks 28-17 at halftime.
Returning from the break in action, Stonehill regained its momentum extending the lead to as many as 17. The Hawks would cut the Skyhawks' advantage to 12 after Forbes drove to the basket for two before freshman
Zaiha Minnis nailed a three from the corner. Stonehill regained the advantage taking a 48-28 lead into the fourth. Stonehill held on to claim the 62-35 victory in the first between the two schools meeting in 37 years.

Hartford will head to Providence, R.I., to compete in the Friar Thanksgiving Classic from Nov. 25-27. The Hawks will hit the court against host Providence College on Friday, before taking on Bryant and Weber State on Saturday and Sunday.
