BOSTON – Junior Anthony Clavette of the Hartford men's track and field team was named the America East Field Performer of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday.
 
A native of Scarborough, Maine, Clavette had an outstanding performance at the Brown Invitational this past Saturday. He earned the win in the high jump after clearing a school-record height of 2.08m. Clavette currently ranks among the top names in the America East in the event, sitting tied for the top spot with a mark of 2.08m.
 
Earning his first career America East Field Performer of the Week honor, Clavette becomes the second Hawk to earn a conference accolade this season. Sophomore Sydney Garrison was the first Hawk to earn the accolade after her strong performance in the high jump back at the Alden Invitational on December 4, 2021.
 
Clavette and his fellow teammates return to action this weekend to compete in the America East Championship meet starting on Friday, February 25, held at the BU Track & Tennis Center.
