NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Hartford men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Wilton Wright Invitational this afternoon hosted by Southern Connecticut State University. The Hawks had outstanding performances on and off the track, walking away with 14 top-three finishes, including three first place accolades.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The men finished second, tallying 94 points, 14 ahead of host Southern Connecticut State University
- Junior Anthony Clavette continued his stellar outdoor campaign, clearing a height of 2.00m to take the gold in the event
- Junior Cole Cayer walked away with a first-place finish in the 10,000m, running a time of 33:32.95
- Freshmen Samuel Moffat and William Lamburn each finished second in their respective events
- Moffat ran a time of 33:39.19 in the 10,000m while Lamburn ran 10:24.60 in the 3000m steeplechase
- In the field, senior Dylan Murad and Keon Cooper finished as runners-up in their events
- Murad hurled the shot put 14.46m while Cooper threw the javelin 51.71m
- Junior Keith May and freshman Kaden Leonard rounded out the top-three finishers on the men's side
- May ran 1:57.87 over 800m while Leonard crossed the line in a blazing time of 11.04 in the 100m dash
HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The women finished fourth, tallying 71 points, 27.5 ahead of in-state foe Sacred Heart
- Senior Nia Mills led the Hawks on the women's side, taking the first-place crown in the 100m while finishing third in the 200m dash
- Mills ran times of 12.34 and 25.99, respectively
- The women's 4x100m relay team of Mills, sophomores Emily Parchinski and Noelle Konior and freshman Marlina Voker finished second in the event
- The relay team combined to run a time of 49.30
- Sophomores Robyn Krafft and Sydney Garrison finished second in their respective events
- Krafft threw for a distance of 41.10m in the discus while Garrison cleared 1.60m in the high jump
- Junior Hailey Marcello and freshman Cali Leonard rounded out the women's top-three finishers
- Marcello ran 12:22.50 in the 3000m steeplechase while Leonard finished with a time of 15.73 in the 110m Hurdles

The Hawks head back to Massachusetts on Saturday, April 16 for the UMass Quad Meet. Hartford is set to compete against Boston University, Harvard, UMass and WPI at the UMass Track & Field Complex.
