BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Junior
Anthony Clavette of the Hartford men's track and field team qualified in the high jump for the NCAA Division I East Regional. Held in Bloomington, Ind., the NCAA Division I Track and Field East Regional begin on Wednesday, May 25, and will go through Saturday, May 28. The high jump is scheduled for Friday, May 27, at 2:30 p.m.

Clavette continues the Hawks' representation at the national level, marking the third straight year a Hawk has qualified for the NCAA Championships.
Clavette will be one of 14 representatives of the seven Division I programs in Connecticut, as well as one of 12 America East student-athletes participating at the NCAA Division I Outdoor East Regional.
A native of Scarborough, Me., Clavette enters the meet as the No. 46 seed. He earned the ranking after clearing a school-record height of 2.08m at the NEICAAA Championships, held at Bryant last weekend. Clavette has dominated the high jump this season, winning the event in all but one meet that he has participated in during the outdoor slate.
The junior has been stellar in the high jump throughout his entire career, as he currently owns the school records for the event in both indoor and outdoor track and field.
Clavette will be Hartford's fifth student-athlete in program history to compete at the NCAA Division I East Regional, and third from the men's team to compete in an NCAA meet. Last season,
Terrel Davis,
Elizabeth Lodge and
Samantha Moravsky each qualified for the Regional meet. Davis in the long jump, Lodge in the high jump and Moravsky in the javelin.
