WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Thirty recruited student-athletes have committed to the University of Hartford cross country and track and field programs, head coach Stacie Wentz announced on Friday. The incoming class, which will join the Hawks for the 2022-23 season, will bolster the team's strengths across all of the event groups.
 
"We can't wait to get started with this new generation of Hartford student-athletes," said Wentz. "This is the most comprehensive class in terms of covering all the event groups needed to be a successful overall track & field program.  We were a little thin in our women's throwing events, so this class includes eight women's throwers which we are really excited about!"
 
"This class is geographically diverse in that it represents 10 states including athletes as far away from West Virginia and Virginia," continued Wentz. "The coaching staff worked really hard to recruit not only regionally but out of region as well."
