Bryant started the game out strong, opening the game up on a 4-0 run, before senior Irene Primo drove to the basket with 8:19 remaining in the first to place Hartford on the board at 4-2. However, the Bulldogs followed utilizing a 16-3 run to extend their lead to 22-5 heading into the opening break.

The Bulldogs opened up the second quarter on an 11-5 run, capped off by a Mariona Planes Fortuny layup. The Hawks would then find a way to respond, outscoring Bryant 12-5 over the final five minutes of the half. After trading baskets and outscoring the opposition 17-16 in the frame, Hartford entered the halftime break trailing Bryant 38-22.

The Bulldogs would regain their momentum coming out into the second half of action, taking a commanding 63-33 lead into the fourth. Kicking off the final quarter, Dowding got Hartford rolling after draining back-to-back threes and fueling an 8-0 run for the Hawks. Despite Hartford's late effort to mount a comeback, outscoring Bryant 19-12 in the final quarter, the Bulldog lead grew to be too much, as the Hawks eventually fell, 75-52.
