Middletown, Conn. – Hartford indoor track and field continued its 2023-24 campaign Saturday at the Wesleyan indoor Invitational. The Hawks saw countless top-five finishes, personal bests, and a school record performance from Junior Jovan Joseph

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• The men finished with countless top-five finishers, and one school record 

• Joseph etched his name in the record-book after taking home the gold in the 600m dash with a time of 1:23.22, breaking Michael MacLane prior record of 1:24.99 

• Freshman Christopher Hergott took home the gold in the long jump with a mark of 7.04m 

• Freshman Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 13.49m 

• Graduate student Kyle Moser took home a first place finish in the shot put with a toss of 14.35m 

• Junior Brandon Edmund took home the gold in the 400m dash with a time of 50.98 

• Junior Kaden Leonard took home the gold in the 60m run blazing the track in a time of 7.04 

• Junior Conor Convery took home the gold in the weight throw with a hurl of 14.81m 

HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• The women wrapped up competition with countless personal-best performances 

• Sophomore Madison DiPasquale took home the silver in the weight throw with a personal-best mark of 13.59m 

• Freshman Leslie Samuel took home the gold in the long jump with a mark of 5.26m 

• Freshman Avery Baker-Schlendering took home the gold in the high jump with a personal-best clearance of 1.68m

• Senior Kayla Pelletier took home the silver in the pole vault with a personal-best clearance of 2.55m 

• Junior Marlina Voker took home the gold in both the 200m dash (25.29), and 60m (7.88) which was a personal-best 

• Graduate student Hailey Marcello took home the gold in the 3000m run in a time of 10:54.39
