AMHERST, Mass. – The Hartford men's and women's track and field teams continued their 2023 outdoor campaign at the UMass Commonwealth Invite on Saturday. The Hawks saw 17 top-five finishes and one school record breaking performance throughout the meet.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The men were highlighted by seven top-five finishers and one school-record performance from sophomore Conor Convery.
- Convery shattered his own school-record mark in the hammer throw with a distance of 50.79m.
- Senior Uchenna Duru finished as the runner-up in the discus throw with a season-best 46.59m, just .12 meters off his school-record mark set back at the 2021 America East Championships meet.
- Senior Anthony Clavette took home the gold in the high jump for the third consecutive meet after clearing a height of 1.98m.
- Sophomore Joseph Lothamer finished second overall in the pole vault after tying the pole vault school-record height of 4.25m.
- Junior Noah Kell and sophomore Brandon Edmund finished with personal-best times in their respective events.
- Kell ran 15.90 seconds in the 110m hurdles while Edmund rounded the track in 49.82 seconds in the 400m dash.
HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- On the women's side, the Hawks finished with 10 top-five finishers including two finishing atop the podium.
- Graduate student Haleemot Adeyanju took home the crown in the 800m in a season-best time of 2:18.02.
- Junior Molly McGrail finished atop the podium in the 400m hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:07.46.
- Junior Sydney Garrison finished as the runner-up in the high jump after clearing a height of 1.62m.
- The women's 4x100m relay team of junior Emily Parchinski, sophomore duo Cali Leonard and Marlina Voker along with freshman Jenascia Weir combined to run the fourth fastest time in program history at 48.62 seconds.
- Senior Robyn Krafft and sophomore Kayla Pelletier each finished third overall in their respective events.
- Krafft in the discus throw with a mark of 41.71m while Pelletier earned a spot on the podium in the javelin with 39.34m.
