NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Hartford men's and women's track and field team finished second overall in the team standings at the CCSU Blue Devil Invite on Friday. The Hawks were fueled by 25 top-three finishers including four first place honorees and one school-record performance.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Leading the men to a second-place finish were 11 top-three finishers including two first place honorees.
- Sophomore Kaden Leonard took home the gold in the 200m dash in a time of 22.52 seconds before finishing as the runner-up in the 100m dash in 11.13 seconds.
- Senior Anthony Clavette continued his stellar outdoor campaign, finishing atop the podium in the high jump for the seventh consecutive meet at a height of 1.98m.
- Senior Kyle Moser shattered the school-record mark in the shot put, throwing for 15.25m to finish second overall.
- Sophomore Brandon Edmund set personal-best times in both the 200m (22.61) and 400m (49.66) dash.
- Junior Aaron McGirr and sophomore Joseph Lothamer finished as the runners-up in their respective events.
- McGirr leaped 6.49m in the long jump while Lothamer cleared 4.00m in the pole vault.
HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- On the women's side the Hawks posted 14 top-three finishes to propel Hartford to a second-place finish in the team standings.
- Sophomore Marlina Voker walked away with 200m dash crown after flying across the line in a personal-best time of 24.86 seconds.
- Senior Hailey Marcello finished first overall in the 3000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 11:42.31.
- Sophomore Kayla Pelletier took home the gold in the javelin throw with a mark of 40.38m.
- Junior Emily Parchinski finished as the runner-up in both the 100m and 200m dash, clocking times of 12.81 and 26.27 seconds, respectively.
- Juniors Molly McGrail and Abby O'Connor along with sophomore Cali Leonard each finished second on the podium in their respective events.
- McGrail in the 400m hurdles (1:07.67), O'Connor in the 3000m (10:33.30), and Leonard in the 100m hurdles (15.11).
