University of Hartford Head Cross Country and Track & Field coach Connor Green has announced the recruitment of 29 incoming student-athletes. The incoming class, which will join the Hawks for the 2023-24 season, will bolster the team's strengths across all the event groups.
 
"We are absolutely thrilled about the arrival of this incoming class," said Green. "The diversity of events represented and the fact that these student-athletes come from different states make it an incredibly exciting time for our team and campus. We firmly believe that their presence will make a profound and immediate impact, not only on the team, but also on the entire campus community.
 
"One of our specific goals was to attract a larger group of local student-athletes to our program, and we are delighted to share that this year, we are welcoming 10 talented athletes from the state of Connecticut," Green continued. "Their inclusion brings an added sense of pride and connection as they represent our local community. We eagerly anticipate the contributions of each one of these exceptional student-athletes. Their diverse backgrounds, skills, and interests will undoubtedly elevate both our team's performance and the overall campus experience. We look forward to witnessing the camaraderie and unity that will emerge as they collaborate and compete together."
