New York, N.Y. – The Hartford men's and women's indoor track and field teams continued its 2023-24 campaign this weekend at the RU Scarlet Knights open, The Hawks finished with numerous personal and season bests along with a few all time performances. The two-day event was held at The Armory where the Hawks competed in a 32-team field.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Freshman Christopher Hergott posted a runner-up finish in the long jump with a leap of 6.87m

Senior Aaron McGirr concluded the Hawks in the long jump with a mark of 6.47m to finish within the top ten

Junior Conor Convery attained the bronze in the weight throw with a hurl of 14.70m
-
Junior Jovan Joseph and freshman Stephen Haney each walked away with top-20 finishes in the 600m

Joseph ran 1:23.26 to finish 11th overall, while Haney set a personal best time of 1:26.25 to finish 18th overall, this time sets him number four all time in school history

Freshman Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah finished 11th overall in the triple jump with a mark of 13.69m

Graduate Kyle Moser finished seventh overall in the shot put with a mark of 14.84m

Junior duo Brandon Edmund and Kaden Leonard supported the Hawks in the 60m dash, Edmund registered a time of 7.15 for 22nd overall while Leonard crossed the line in 7.17 for 28th overall

Edmund and Leonard also ran in the 200m clocking times of 22.76 and 22.78 respectively

Junior Joseph Lothamer finished 14th overall in the pole vault with a seasons best clearance of 4.13m

Sophomore duo Peter Efinger and Gulian Marconi competed in the 800m, registering times of 2:06.38 and 2:07.55 respectively
HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- On the women's side, junior Marlina Voker keeps up the impressive indoor campaign, first finishing 15th overall in the 60m dash with a personal best mark of 7.87 followed by a 25.10 in the 200m dash to finish within the top 10
- In her first collegiate pentathlon freshman Jordan Murphy registered a total of 2762 points to finish seventh overall

Senior Molly McGrail finished 18th overall in the 600m clocking a time of 1:40.60, this marks sets her second all time in school history

Senior Robyn Krafft accomplished a season best mark of 11.33m in the shotput to finish sixth

Junior Cali Leonard and freshman Caroline Crocker finished first and second in the 60m hurdles after registering a time of 9.31 and 9.50 respectively
- Graduate Hailey Marcello registered a time of 2:58.82 in the 1000m to finish 7th overall

Senior Sydney Garrison cleared 1.65m in the high jump to finish sixth overall in a field of 25-competitors while freshman Avery Baker-Schlendering rounded out the hawks in the event with a clearance of 1.55m

Sophomore Elizabeth White set a personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:29.29

Freshman duo Amelia King and Annie Gilman continue their first collegiate indoor campaign, clocking times of 2:33.98 and 2:36.48 in the 800m run also

The women's 4x200 relay of Jenascia Weir , Averi McCoy, Marlina Voker, and Emily Parchinski blazed the track for a combined time of 1:46.84, this sets the group second all time in school history

The Hawks head back to Boston in just one week's time to compete in the Valentine Invitational held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. The two-day event begins on Friday, February 9. Along with this on Saturday, February 10 the Hawks will also compete at the Gordon Kelly Invitational
