PORTSMOUTH, RI. – The Hartford men's and women's track and field teams opened their 2024 outdoor campaign this weekend at the Sean Livingston Invitational. Due to weather constraints, the remaining events of the meet were canceled. The Hawks tallied 18 top-five finishes which included six first-place finishers on the day.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The men saw eigth top-five finishes which included one first-place finisher on the day.
- Senior Kyle Moser led the Hawks on the men's side, taking home the gold in the shot put with a mark of 14.03m on his second attempt.
- Moser also competed in the hammer throw where he finished runner-up with a mark of 43.07m
- Junior Conor Convery took home the gold in the hammer throw with a mark of 48.10m
- Sophomore Bryce Foster took home the silver in the high jump with a clearance of 1.66m.
- Foster also competed in the 110m hurdles where he clocked a time of 18.93 to finish fourth.

Sophomores Peter Efinger and Riley Stevens along with freshman Stephen Haney finished within the top 10 in the men's 400m dash.

Efinger and Stevens registered times of 55.26 and 55.55 to finish fourth and fifth while Haney rounded the track in a time of 56.97 for a 10th-place finish.

Sophomore Gulian Marconi and junior Parker Main opened their outdoor campaign by competing in the 1500m run.
- Marconi registered a time of 4:35.94 to finish eighth while Main registered a time of 4:36.90 to finish ninth
HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

The women saw 10 top-five finishes which included four first-place finishers on the day.

Junior Kayla Pelletier set the tone for the Hawks, taking home the gold in the javelin with a mark of 38.74m.

Junior Cali Leonard took home the gold in the 100m hurdles, registering a time of 16.61.

Freshman Caroline Crocker was the next Hawk to cross the line in the 100m hurdles, clocking a time of 17.28 to finish second.

Sophomore Mariah Nichols and freshman Emily Blanchette concluded the Hawks in the 100m hurdles clocking times of 18.16 and 24.49.

Freshman Jordan Murphy took home the gold in the high jump with a clearance of 1.54m.

Senior Sydney Garrison concluded the Hawks in the high jump with a clearance of 1.49m to finish second.

Graduate student Hailey Marcello took home the bronze in the 1500m run, clocking a time of 4:59.05.

Sophomore Elizabeth White clocked a time of 5:28.50 in the 1500m run to finish fifth.
- Graduate Caroline Hadley finished fifth in the hammer throw with a mark of 35.64m while sophomore Madison DiPasquale finished sixth with a mark of 35.26m.
- DisPasquale also competed in the shot put where she took home the gold with a personal best mark of 11.31m, this mark sets her second all-time in school history.
