Convery Extends School-Record as Hawks Compete at UMass Lowell

LOWELL, MA – The Hartford men's and women's track and field teams had a strong showing at the UMass Lowell Invitational this weekend. The Hawks combined for a school record and over 30 top-five finishes which included 11 first-place accolades.

HARTFORD MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Junior Conor Convery shattered his school-record in the hammer throw after recording a distance of 52.55m.
Senior Kyle Moser took home the gold in the shot put with a mark of 15.06m.
Freshman Christopher Hergott finished atop the podium in the long jump, registering a mark of 7.18m, this distance sets him third all-time in school history.
Junior Kaden Leonard had a strong outing, taking home the gold in both the 100m and 200m dash.
Leonard clocked times of 11.00 and 22.51 respectively.
Senior William Frank finished third in the discus throw, registering a mark of 44.45m.
Freshman Benjamin Vroeginday finished fifth in the 400m dash, clocking a time of 53.73.
Freshman Bryce Foster finished third in the 110m hurdles, clocking a time of 17.02, this mark sets him seventh all-time in school history.
Senior Alex Fotakis finished sixth in the high jump with a clearance of 1.78m, this mark sets him 10th all-time in school history.
The 4x400m relay of freshman Stephen Haney, sophomore Peter Efinger, junior Kaden Leonard, and sophomore Gulian Marconi finished sixth in a time of 3:36.02.

HARTFORD WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Robyn Krafft took home the gold in the discus throw with a mark of 41.15m.
Sophomore Madison DiPasquale concluded the Hawks in the discus throw with a mark of 36.68m to finish third.
DisPasquale also competed in the hammer throw where she registered a distance of 40.19m, this mark puts her fourth all-time in school history.
Junior Kayla Pelletier took home the gold in the javelin throw with a distance of 40.54m.
Pelletier also competed in the pole vault where she cleared 2.60m, this mark ties her for second all-time in school history.
Sophomore Yovanna Cruz finished third in the shot put with a personal best mark of 11.38m, this mark sets her second all-time in school history.
Junior Marlina Voker took home the gold in the 100m dash, clocking a time of 12.47.
Freshman Avery Baker-Schlendering took home the gold in the high jump with a clearance of 1.63m, this mark puts her sixth all-time in school history.
Freshman Leslie Samuel finished fifth in the long jump, registering a mark of 5.33m, this distance sets her sixth all-time in school history.
Graduate Hailey Marcello took home the gold in the 3000m steeplechase in a time of 11:57.41.
Senior Abby O'Connor concluded the Hawks in the steeplechase, clocking a time of 12:11.76 to put herself fourth all-time in school history.
The 4x400m relay of senior Molly McGrail, Senior Emily Parchinski, Junior Marlina Voker, and freshman Averi McCoy took home the gold in a time of 4:08.35.
The 4x100m relay of sophomore Jenascia Weir, freshman Leslie Samuel, Senior Emily Parchinski, and junior Marlina Voker took home the gold in a time of 48.68, this time placing them fifth all-time in school history.
