MIDDLEBURY, VT - The Hartford Women's Golf team, competed in the George Phinney Classic hosted by Middlebury College on Saturday and Sunday. The Hawks would end up 12th out of 12 teams, battling rainy conditions on Sunday. 

Rapid Recap:

• Sophomore Maris Branyan (Trumbull, Conn.) would finish tied for 41st, shooting a 84(+13) in round one, and a 86 (+15) in the second round. Sophomore Lilly Sprister (Rutland, Mass.) would finish 62nd overall with a 90 and 104 in round one and two. Junior Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) ended in 63rd shooting a 97 in round one and a 102 in round two. Sophomore Leah Petruzzi (Southington, Conn.) would finish in 65th with a 105 in the first round and a 102 in the second round. Senior Abby Crabtree (Bellport, N.Y.) would round things out for the Hawks with a 107 in the first round and a 102 in the second round. 
• Hartford's independent player freshman Mackenzie Pothier (Killingly, Conn.) would finish in 63rd with a 99 in the first round, and a 97 in the second round. 
• Middlebury College would come out on top in the tournament, taking first place.
• Hamilton's Aubrey Lee would take home individual first place.

Inside the Numbers:

• The Hawks would earn three total birdies through both rounds of golf. 
• Hartford would be a total of 200 over par.
