JUNIOR (2013)
Named to the America East All-Conference Second Team … a pitcher who made 30 appearances during her debut season at Hartford … earned 28 starts, a program single season record, tossing 28 complete games and compiling an overall record of 14-14 … the 14 wins are tied for fourth-most in a single season while the 28 complete games are a school record … in 190.1 innings, compiled a 2.50 ERA while holding opponents to a .207 batting average, the second-best mark in the conference … recorded 147 strikeouts, ranking third in the America East … compiled six shutouts, the fourth-most in a single season in program history and the most since 2008 … issued 86 walks … hit 20 batters … during conference play, made 13 appearances and started 12 games, compiling a 1.51 ERA while holding opponents to a .165 batting average … earned the start for the season opener against Mercer (Feb. 22) … grabbed her first win of the season at Manhattan, tossing a two-hit shutout and striking out three in the 1-0 win (Mar. 10) … took home her first America East weekly honor on Mar. 12 following her effort against the Jaspers … struck out seven and allowed four runs, three earned, in a victory over Central Connecticut (Mar. 13) … made it three-straight wins against Norfolk State, fanning eight batters and allowing two runs, both unearned, in a 3-2 victory (Mar. 15) … held Stony Brook without a hit through 10.1 innings, scattering just a pair of hits and recording five strikeouts in the 1-0, 11-inning shutout win (Mar. 23) … grabbed her fifth win of the season in the rubber match against Stony Brook, recording three strikeouts and allowing one earned run (Mar. 24) … earned her second America East Pitcher of the Week honor after allowing just one run over a stretch of 18 innings against Stony Brook (Mar. 25) … went the distance against Iona, recording nine strikeouts and allowing four runs, all unearned, in a 6-4 victory (Apr. 3) … fanned a season-best 10 batters in a loss to Boston University (Apr. 6) … in the rubber match against the Terriers, had five strikeouts and allowed three earned runs in Hartford’s walk-off, series-clinching win (Apr. 7) … scored wins in four-straight outings, a span that featured three consecutive shutouts … started that win streak off with a 6-0 blanking at UMBC, giving up two hits while striking out nine (Apr. 27) … in the series finale at UMBC, completed the three-game sweep by shutting out the Retrievers, 2-0, conceding one hit and striking out three batters (Apr. 28) … made it three shutouts in a row in the series opener at Maine, recording nine strikeouts and allowing one hit in a 4-0 win (May 4) … picked up her fourth-straight win, allowing three earned runs on six hits to lead the team to the series clinch at Maine (May 5) … earned starts in both games of the America East Championships against Binghamton and Stony Brook (May 9, May 10) …posted a .977 fielding percentage, committing one error in 43 chances … had five putouts and 37 assists … named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
BEFORE HARTFORD
A native of the Czech Republic who comes to Hartford after a pair of successful seasons serving as Highland Community College’s ace … helped lead the Scotties to two-straight regional championships and a pair of NJCAA national tournament appearances … in her second season at Highland, led all of NJCAA Division II in innings pitched (236.0), runs (30), earned runs (15) and strikeouts (342) while amassing 28 wins, the most in the nation … named to the 2012 NJCAA All-American First Team … that season, threw a perfect game to lead the Scotties to the longest win streak in program history, as well as the most wins in program history … shattered Highland’s single season and career strikeout records as well as the single season and career wins records … during her freshman year at Highland in 2011, posted an ERA of 1.79 while striking out 163 batters in 121 innings … was also successful inside of the batter’s box, posting a .367 batting average with 54 hits and 29 RBI … rewarded with second team all-conference honors as well as first team all-region accolades at the conclusion of her rookie season … represented her country as a three-year member of the Czech National Team where she participated in several tournaments in the United States, Guatemala, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands … as a member of the U-16 squad, helped lead the team to a gold medal at the European Championships in Russia … led the U-19 team to a third place finish at the championships in Germany … the sister of former Hartford baseball standout Simon Kudernatsch.
