FRESHMAN (2014)
Started and played in 34 games, seeing most of her time at shortstop … also made starts in left field and at third base … batted .218 on the season, recording 19 hits, fifth-most on the team, in 87 at-bats … five of her hits went for extra bags on three doubles, one triple and a homer … finished fourth in runs scored with 10 while adding six RBI … walked nine times, ranking third in the category … recorded a trio of mutli-hit games … posted the team’s longest hitting streak of the season at seven games, a 15-day rally that started in the series finale against UAlbany (Apr. 13) and ended against UMBC (Apr. 27) … also had the squad’s longest stretch of reaching base safely at 10 games … reached base safely in 22 total contests … in her college debut, walked and scored a run while driving in the eventual game-winning run on a sacrifice fly against Princeton (Mar. 8) … doubled twice in four at-bats at Yale (Apr. 9) … drove-in the team’s lone run on her first career triple against UAlbany (Apr. 13) … in her next outing, homered for the first time in her career at UConn (Apr. 16) … had a personal-best two RBI in the win at UMass Lowell (Mar 2) … combined for two sacrifices … went 1-of-2 in stolen bases, swiping her lone bag against UMBC (Apr. 27) … had 38 putouts and 45 assists … committed eight errors in 91 chances for a .912 fielding percentage … named to the America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
BEFORE HARTFORD
A four-year varsity starter and a senior captain from Danbury High School … a versatile softball player who saw time at shortstop, centerfield, third base and inside of the circle … helped lead Danbury to the program’s first conference tournament appearance in 17 years as well as back-to-back Connecticut Class LL State Tournament appearances in 2011 and 2012 … earned 2011 All-FCIAC Softball Second Team honors as a sophomore in 2011 … played summer ball for The Wicked Softball organization out of Newtown, Conn., for the last five seasons … served as an infielder, outfielder, pitcher and catcher for that squad … batted .375 in 2012 with seven doubles, one triple, a homer and 15 RBI.
