Jackson Jabir enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Hartford women’s basketball team in 2021-22. Jabir joins the Hawks’ coaching staff after spending one year in Denmark as an assistant basketball coach for the SISU Basketball Club.
While in Denmark, Jabir also served as head coach for five youth basketball teams, ranging from age groups U13-U18. With those youth teams, emphasis was placed on skill development and overall understanding of the game.
Prior to his time in Denmark, Jabir spent four years as a male practice player for the women’s basketball team at the University of Dayton, where he led the practice scout team. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 2019 with a degree in marketing.
Jabir’s father, Jim, currently serves as head coach of the women’s basketball team at Siena College, in Loudonville, N.Y.
