University of Hartford

Colin Blake returns to his alma mater where he enters his first year at the University of Hartford starting his role as the Assistant  Recreation and Club Sports Coordinator.

Blake joins Hartford after his student working experience at Southern Connecticut State University. Blake provided live play-by-play commentary for the Owls women’s volleyball program. In addition to his time spent with the volleyball team, Blake assisted with scoreboard, jumbotron, and camera operation for men’s and women’s basketball. Blake made it a goal to support the overall athletic department at Southern Connecticut State University and contribute to efficient game day operations.

Prior to his role at Southern Connecticut, Blake assisted with comprehensive game day operations for the New Britain Bees. In that role, he developed the opportunity to synthesize, integrate, and apply game day operational skills to a general field in the sport of baseball.

Blake earned a bachelor of arts in communication in 2024 at the University of Hartford with a special focus in public relations and advertising. During his time in undergrad Blake was a student-athlete on the baseball team where he served as a team captain. Blake was also recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC) for his hard work in the classroom earning Academic All-District. Blake recently completed his masters in early 2026 where he studied science in sports and entertainment management at Southern Connecticut State University.
