Derick Arhin

    Assistant Women's Soccer Coach
Derick Arhin joins the Hartford women's soccer coaching staff in 2024-25 as a volunteer assistant coach. 

Arhin joins the Hawks following his graduating with his master's degree in clinical mental health counseling with a concentration in sport and exercise psychology from Springfield College. He also previously graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor's in kinesiology with a minor in psychology. 

Derick played collegiate soccer for both the University of Rhode Island and Springfield College seeing action in 30 games, with 23 starts, three goals and three assists. 

Arhin has coached club soccer for the Oakwood Soccer Club in Glastonbury since 2022 where he was a head and assistant coach for various age groups ranging from 10-18. He also served as a direct liasion to the MLS NEXT organization. 

Arhin also has worked as a mental health counselor and cultural inclusion specialist at Western New England University.
