Owen Moore enters his second season with the Hartford Field Hockey coaching staff in 2026 after being hired in August of 2025.
In his first season with Hartford, the Hawks would finish with a 3-12 overall record. Hartford would have a single CNE All-Conference selection and 14 Hawks named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Academic Squad, while Mikayla Mathews was the programs first NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.
Moore joins the Hawks after being the varsity head coach on Shepaug Valley School for the past two years after serving as an assistant coach in 2022. During his tenure, Moore transformed the team into a championship contender winning the 2024 CIAC Class S State Championship. Shepaug also would win back-to-back Berkshire League Championships in 2023 and 2024. During 2022 and 2023 Moore also served as the junior varsity head coach.
Moore also runs and owns the Berkshire Field Hockey Association. The association began in April of 2025 with the mission of providing opportunities to youth field hockey players in Litchfield County.
Owen also has served as a head coach for USA Field Hockey out of New Haven since 2023, where he has worked with U14-U21 teams to help develop technical and tactical skill.
Moore graduated from Western Connecticut State University in 2024 with a bachelor's in business administration with a focus in finance.
