HANOVER, NH - The University of Hartford women's golf team finished 12th out of 17 teams at the Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Hanover Country Club.
The Hawks shaved four strokes off their first round score to shoot 334 as a team on the final day of play. Hartford finished with a 36-hole total of 672. Harvard overcame Dartmouth in the final round to take home team honors, shooting 616 to win the tournament by nine shots. Siena's Katelyn Mannix, who held the overnight lead, hung on to earn individual medalist honors in a playoff.
Junior Paige Gauthier led the Hawks for the tournament and tied for 32nd overall at 163. Classmate Sadie Heald shot the lowest round (79) of any Hartford golfer on Sunday and finished tied for 44th at 166. Rounding out the scoring for the Hawks were junior Kara Sikorski (T-66th, 171), senior Megan Claxton (68th, 172) and junior Catie Dillman (T-75th, 181).
Hartford will next compete at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational on September 20-21at The Orchards.
